Corwin T. Watson is a visionary leader, veteran, filmmaker, and father who turned his own battles with trauma, emotional brokenness, and generational pain into a mission for healing. After experiencing the consequences of emotional neglect and toxic environments firsthand, Corwin founded Hope in the Ozarks to give today’s youth what he never had — a safe, sacred space to process pain, rebuild identity, and encounter true restoration. This project is more than land — it’s his legacy of love, fait
Join us as we launch a movement that will change lives forever. On July 13, 2025, we go live to raise $10 million to build a 22-acre youth healing retreat in the Ozarks.

For years, I carried my own wounds—some from childhood, others from choices, circumstances, and the chaos that life can bring. I’ve walked through toxic relationships, generational trauma, and seasons where hope felt like a myth. I know what it’s like to fight for your mental health with no retreat, no silence, no safe place to land.
But I also know what healing looks like.
When God placed this vision in my heart, it wasn’t just about building cabins, trails, or facilities. It was about building a sanctuary for the broken, a place where young people and families could step away from the noise of survival—and step into a space of renewal, reflection, and restoration.
That place is Hope in the Ozarks — 22 acres of land where trauma ends and purpose begins.
Hope in the Ozarks will be a retreat and healing center specifically designed for:
Youth battling trauma, anxiety, depression, and loss
Families needing reconnection and support
Military families, fathers, and mothers in crisis
Communities that need more than just words — they need action
With licensed therapists, mentors, and immersive nature-based therapy, we'll offer:
Mental health counseling in a peaceful setting
Adventure-based healing: ATVs, lake activities, obstacle courses
Retreats for mentorship, parenting, relationships, and youth leadership
A place where broken systems are replaced with community, faith, and legacy
“If we don’t give our children a place to heal, the world will give them a place to break.”
Hope in the Ozarks is about building what we wish we had growing up—so that our children never have to feel what we felt. It's not about waiting on the government or institutions to save us.
It’s about us — the people, the families, the community — coming together to reclaim what was stolen.
This central lodge is more than just a structure — it’s the hub for community. Designed for multi-use functionality, it will host group retreats, youth workshops, family seminars, meals, and temporary housing. With open-concept meeting rooms and private sleeping quarters, it becomes a space where transformation begins.
The lake is a cornerstone of nature-based healing. Whether through canoe therapy, guided meditations, or simply sitting quietly on the arched bridge, guests will find calm and clarity. Designed with a central fountain and surrounded by native flora, this lake invites stillness and emotional restoration.
These professionally carved trails offer more than thrills — they provide structured, adrenaline-based healing. Supervised ATV rides will help youth break emotional walls, foster trust, and build confidence through safe challenge-based activities.
Our 15-passenger vans ensure no child or family is left out due to distance or poverty. These vehicles will serve as the physical bridge between trauma and transformation — transporting participants to the land where hope begins.
Tucked into quiet corners of the property, these cabins offer one-on-one and small group therapy sessions with licensed mental health professionals. Surrounded by nature, the space invites openness, healing, and breakthrough moments.
From worship nights to youth open mics, this outdoor stage becomes a sacred space where expression leads to liberation. The pavilion will host community concerts, storytelling events, and healing services under the stars.
